I’m Allison Nickless, a lifelong resident of Russell County, and I’m proud to begin my 22nd year in the Alabama educational system. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University.

I spent 18 years serving Phenix City Schools as a school counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. For the past three years, I have served as the Mental Health Service Coordinator for Russell County Schools, where I work to support students’ emotional and psychological well-being across the district.

Before working in education, I was a case manager and therapist with the East Alabama Mental Health CHINS program and contracted with the Department of Human Resources. These roles reinforced my belief in early intervention and the value of strong support systems.

The cornerstone of my work has always been relationships—with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community members. My daily goal is to help families break generational cycles and create pathways to long-term well-being and success.
